💵 Microsoft’s $80B AI move
🚨 Our Report — Microsoft has unveiled that it will have invested over $80B on new data centers—specifically designed to handle significant AI workloads—by the end of fiscal 2025, which is in June.
🔓 Key Points:
These data centers will “train AI models and deploy AI applications around the world,” and over half will be built in the US, reflecting their commitment to the country and “confidence in the American economy.”
The revelation comes after Microsoft and OpenAI were reportedly considering building a data center to power an AI supercomputer—called Stargate—that was expected to cost around $100B to build.
The $80B will help Microsoft build out its infrastructure for AI applications and will put them in a stronger position to compete with rivals, all rushing to deploy AI and automation tools.
🔐 Relevance — Alongside strengthening its position and dominance in the AI space, Microsoft’s laser focus on data centers could also stimulate the US economy by creating new jobs, and further solidifying its relationships with local governments and businesses.

🧠 OpenAI’s countdown to superintelligence begins
🚨 Our Report — OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, has revealed that they “know how to build Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)”—as they have traditionally defined it—and is now turning its attention to developing “superintelligence.”
🔓 Key Points:
OpenAI’s AGI definition is “autonomous systems that outperform humans at economically valuable work,” although recently, Microsoft (OpenAI’s biggest investor), defined it as “AI that can generate $100B.”
Altman believes that “Superintelligent tools could massively accelerate scientific discovery and innovation well beyond what we are capable of doing on our own, and in turn, massively increase abundance and prosperity.”
And although he has previously warned that its impact could be “more intense than many anticipate,” he has predicted that “superintelligence could arrive within a ‘few-thousand-days.’
🔐 Relevance — Despite the “glorious future” that superintelligence could give us, OpenAI has grave concerns about how to transition into a world with superintelligent systems and safely steer or control these advanced AI systems, stopping them from going rogue, as humans will not be able to supervise them because they’ll be that much smarter: “Humans will not be able to reliably supervise AI systems much smarter than us, and so our current alignment techniques will not scale to superintelligence.”

📺 TVs that create shopping lists?
At CES 2025, Samsung unveiled a set of AI features—Vision AI—for its TVs which will “transform them into intelligent, adaptive companions that simplify daily lifestyles” and improve user experience.
When activated, ‘Click to Search’ will identify actors, locations, and products, in real-time, on-screen, providing “seamless access to information without disrupting the viewing experience.”
Samsung Food—“the ultimate AI sous chef”—is a feature that uses AI to identify dishes shown on TV (in real-time) and can create recipes and shopping lists based on available ingredients and items in your fridge.

PRO COMMUNITY
iRobot wanted to deliver personalized experiences to 14M mobile app users without drowning in engineering costs.
But each campaign needed multiple teams and significant development time, making it impossible to scale personalization efforts.
So, they decided to implement AI-powered analytics and targeting through Pendo, a product analytics app.
Pendo analyzed user behavior patterns, demographic data, and app usage to segment users and deliver personalized in-app messages.
As a result, iRobot saw a 75% reduction in engineering effort and
time to production dropped by 50%.
